Work Experience....

Backstage at A Child of the Jago Spring/Summer 2010 with Vauxhall Fashion Scout.
By far the most memorable fashion show to have worked on so far. The intensity and fast paced atmosphere was enough to scare any of us young fashion interns, however it was one of the most thrilling experiences i have ever endured.

the clothes were so amazing and so detailed, and the models used for the show varied in size/shapes/ages, including Ben Westwood and his dog, making it a truly original show.
The location was a beautiful old music hall and we had the smallest dressing room under the stage to dress and prepare the models...

Can you spot me in the pictures....!!

Work Experience....

Belle Sauvage Spring/Summer 2010
Last summer I interned for up and coming fashion label Belle Sauvage. Above are some of the designs that i helped to toile, pattern cut, make alterations, and fit. I loved having an inside look into a small scale company and working closely with the designer and a pattern cutter. It was very valuable experience that has given me much more knowledge and understanding towards garment construction.

Another of my favourite collections from a/w 2010 is Karl Lagerfeld. I love the clean yet complex cut of the garments and the different contrasting textures of fabrics used.

scaffolding

I am using scaffolding as a structural influence to my collection.
flat components that are constructed together to create a 3D structure.

A big inspiration to my collection has been Louise Golding...
a/w 2010/11

i love the amount of black used, with matte and shiny textures, as well as the couple of metallic highlight colours used for belts and for shorts.
